Hwajung Sung
A music director, composer, arranger and pianist is currently working on various musical fields including theatrical film, concert, advertising music, dance music and songs for children. She received her Master's Degree in the Steinhardt Film Scoring Program in New York University with Ira Newborn and Deniz Hughes. She also received her Bachelor's & Master's degree in composition from Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea.
Ms. Sung worked at MBC TV in Korea as an orchestral arranger, and has garnered numerous prizes for her compositions including: The Thirty-Third Seoul Music Festival; First City of Sung Nam Chorus; won the prize in the EBS Public TV Contest of Creative Children's Songs in 2003 and 2004, and won the first prize from the Masan MBC Public TV Contest of Creative Children's Song.
Afterwards, she received scholarship from the NYU/ASCAP Foundation Film Scoring workshop and was invited as a composer to participate for the tribute of Leonard Rosenman concert at skirball concert hall.
